Ditch the Plastic and go for a Basket
So in the world about 300 million tons of plastic is produced globally each year. Only about 10 percent of that is recycled. So what better way than to ditch the plastic and go for a basket instead!
How many plastic boxes or baskets do you have around the home? Probably too many to count!
For ease and general convenience we can pick up plastic boxes at the supermarkets or on the high street. The humble basket however isn’t as readily available- until you look at our website!
It has recently had a rehaul and is very easy and quick to use.
Whether you are looking for matching materials or matching linings for different rooms you can navigate your way around. Or simply look for inspiration on our 3d video of the showroom!
We have come up with a very compact list of some baskets you could swap around the house and what you could swap them to!
Your reliable plastic Washing basket that’s cracked could be swapped to a wicker washing basket
The overflowing Laundry Bin could be swapped for a beautiful basket, in wicker, seagrass or rattan
The potatoes that are rolling around the vegetable cupboard could be stored in a wicker basket, easy to pull out and washable!
The rogue tea towels that fall over the back of the drawer, store in a basket with a lining. No snagging on the willow ends:
The Spices that fall over in the cupboard, Seagrass Baskets all the way, with their metal frame, everything will stay upright:
Knives and forks that sit on the draining board until they’re used again, cutlery baskets in buff and washed wicker, no problem if they get wet, they’re a natural product;
Odd shoes all over the house! We often have shoes in the kitchen, very frustrating! Until we got this trunk to put by the front door
In this plastic free month of July, there is so much you can do to reduce the plastic in your home without reducing the durability of your storage products.
